The men committed to showing their love and respect for the women in their life by taking a pledge at the end of the event. They agreed that they would not only protect but also enrich women with every step, gesture, word, or action they take through everyday interaction between them both at home and in public spaces. The pledge stated

“It is our duty as men to protect and provide for the women in our lives. We are not only willing but excited about this responsibility, because it’s part of who we are as fathers, husbands, sons, and brothers. Women are the foundation of a home and we are responsible to create a world where all women are safe, respected, and valued. Together, we will ensure that every woman has the opportunity to reach her full potential.”
